Agree With God When Praying

Prayer based on the Word of the Lord works. That is why it’s important to base your prayer on the Word of God. Just because we may want something and therefore pray about it, doesn’t mean God is entitled to provide it.

God watches over His Word to perform it. The key is that it has to be His words not our words. It’s important for us to open the Bible and to find out what belongs to us in Christ. We must discover His will which is His Word. The Holy Spirit is there to help us to just that.

Pray In Alignment With The Bible

When we line up our prayers with God’s promises, we can be rest assured that He will get to work on what we lift up to Him. Even Jesus prayed and that speaks volumes to us. If it was important for the Lord to pray to the Father, then how much more is it a priority we should have in our life.

One of the most popular types of prayers in the Bible is the prayer of agreement. We discover all about this in Matthew 18 and we can see from the Scripture that if two people agree as touching anything that they ask then it will be done by the Father. For where two or three are gathered together in the Name of Jesus, there He is in their midst.

That is powerful!

There is power when two people align their prayers. Agreement based on the Word between Believers brings amazing results in prayer. God already watches over His Word to perform it so when we pray based on what He already said He is already in agreement and will perform what has been lifted up to Him.

Yes, He will supply all needs according to His riches and glory. It may be hard to believe but God promises that anything you ask shall be done.

The switch that keeps the blessings flowing in your life is your belief in Him. Without faith it is impossible to please Him so you must believe before you see the answer to your prayers. God is always interested in spending time with you. Always run to Him, not from Him.

There is never anything you could possibly ask Him that is too small or too big. He has the capability to perform whatever we can believe Him for and that is promised in His Word.

Stand On God’s Word

When two or more Christians come together to agree it means that their hearts are harmonized. When two people come together they are both playing a part in the results of the prayer. The prayer of agreement will only work as long as both parties agree and believe God and neither doubt.

Agreement in Christian prayer is far more important than just a quick glance. Believing God’s Word and standing on God’s Word, in agreement, is spiritual warfare.

The battle really does come down to what we allow to occur in our minds. Prayer is won or lost in the mind. Even though initially, agreement was there, it is important for both people who prayed to continue to believe and cast down anything that would say their prayer was not answered.

Jesus said to believe that you receive when you pray. The moment the prayer is complete, that is the time to take a big mental stand and refuse to doubt. Take the time to renew your mind by the Bible and with the help of the Holy Spirit, you can control your mental state.

It is critically important not to pray in one direction yet act or speak in the opposite direction. It will sink your prayer faster than you may realize. Read the Bible and meditate on the promises you are believing for. Be patient and over time those promises will deeply root in your heart.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, so don’t move out of your place of faith.

Run to God’s Word and open up the Scriptures. Find out what He promised and believe Him for those things in your life. Pray in alignment with those promises. God is faithful and won’t let you down.

God’s Armor Helps You Win The Prayer Battle

“Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” — Ephesians 6:11

There is nothing we lack in order to experience a successful life of prayer. God has given us all that we need in Christ. We have God’s armor, the Bible, His Name, and all of Heaven backing us.

It is up to us to adhere to the instructions we find in the scripture above. We are to gird our loins with God’s truth. We are to put on His breastplate of righteousness which is right standing with Him through Christ. We are to have our feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace. We are to take up the shield of faith in every situation we face. We are to put on the helmet of salvation knowing why we are saved and we are to take up the sword of the spirit in battle which is the Word of God.

The great thing about God is that He watches over His Word to perform it in our lives. This means that the armor of God spoken of in Ephesians will work every time because it is backed by God Himself.

That’s God’s part and our part is to put that armor on by faith, every single day. When we do this, His power becomes our power. Our part really does come down to standing on God’s promises and having complete confidence in God’s power to bring the victory.

The Armor That Comes With Praying

There is no devil in hell that can stand against us when we are wearing the armor of God and praying according to the Word of God. The enemy knows this and he will try and hinder us from praying. If the devil can stop faithful prayer then he knows that he can stop the plan of God.

Some ask why the devil even has power. The reason is because Adam gave it to him back in the garden of Eden when he and Eve sinned. It was at that point that the devil became the god of this world.

The reason Jesus was sent from Heaven to earth was the thwart the devil’s plan. Jesus took back the authority and power and placed it into the hands of the Christian. When we pray it allows for God to establish His plans here on earth. Prayer brings the Lord onto the scene of situations we are praying for. This is why Christian prayer is so important.

What has been hindering prayer all these years is that it is not in alignment with God’s Word. We must pray correctly for God to move. That starts with praying to our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus.

It’s Time To Pray With All Kinds Of Prayer

“Pray at all times on every occasion, and every season in the spirit, with all manner of prayer and intriguing…” — Ephesians 6:18

What we will come to discover in the Bible is that there are 3 kinds of prayers for the Born Again Christian. There is the prayer that changes things, the prayer of praise and thanks, and the prayer for worship and dedication.

Prayer is part of the battle.

We can then divide those groups in smaller groups. In terms of the prayer that changes things there are 4 categories. There is the prayer of agreement, the prayer binding and loosing, the prayer of petition and supplication, and one of the most popular, the prayer of intercession.

It is very important to understand that the prayer that changes things is not a prayer that changes God. God does not change. It is clear in Scripture that He is the same yesterday, today and forever. What He has set in place is there to stay.

That is why it is key to find scripture about what you want to pray for. When you pray in alignment with His Word, He watches over it to perform it. This brings confidence when you pray and use your faith.

God loves you. He wants the best for you. God is for you and not against you. Following God’s guidance when it comes to prayer is vital. It works when you work it. As a child of God, you can access Heaven and bring God’s power into situations you have on your heart.

Yes, there is confidence available to you when you pray. You don’t have to wonder if God will do anything. He has promised He will. God has given you everything you need to overcome.

Look at Bible verses about prayer and believe them. Realize more and more that the Lord’s supernatural power is available to you when you pray. No matter what you are facing, prayer can see you through!
